Ben Burgess and Manitou have announced their mutual decision not to renew their dealership agreement when it expires on December 31, 2020.
The dealer has sold and supported Manitou agricultural and construction machines since 2007, however, due to the alignment between John Deere and telehandler manufacturer Kramer it is relinquishing its franchise of the French built material handlers, focusing on selling Kramer machines instead.
Agco main dealer Thurlow Nunn Standen has been appointed as dealer in the area vacated by Ben Burgess, with access to the full range of agricultural and industrial products and services across its East Anglian trading area. The agreement is effective from January 1, 2021.
TNS says the inclusion of Manitou in its product portfolio aligns with the business’s growth strategy in the ever-changing retail environment. The full agricultural line will be offered out of the dealer’s five retail sites, however, it says it is yet to be agreed if the full construction and industrial line up will be available out of all depots.
James Thurlow, TNS managing director says; “The addition of the Manitou brand is one we are clearly excited about, demonstrating the company’s desire to offer a full line product portfolio, which is strategically aligned to our customers’ developing business needs.”
