Kuhn has expanded its long reach hedge and verge cutter offering with the launch of its first telescopic arm machine, the Multi-Longer GII 7457 E-TPAL.
With a fully extended horizontal range of 7.4 metres and maximum vertical height of 8.4m, the new machine is the manufacturer’s longest reach hedge cutter to date.
Featuring a parallelogram pivot-mounted straight arm configuration, the frame and main boom are constructed of high yield steel for robustness. It also includes a 57hp hydraulic motor and 21kW air-cooled radiator with double heat exchanger, with the manufacturer suggesting a typical annual use of this machine of up to 1,500 hours.
In line with other models in its range, the Multi-Longer GII has a 1,200mm belt-drive flail head as standard, with 240-degree flail head rotation. There is also the option of a 1,500mm flail head with hydraulic adjustable roller.
The hedge cutter features the manufacturer’s Stabi-Link quick-hitch axle mounting as standard, said to offer increased stability as well as shortened mounting/uncoupling. Control is via a four-function joystick with electric proportional control for pivot, main boom, outer boom and flail head movements. Additional features include ground following aided by hydropneumatic lift control.
Recommended for use on tractors with a minimum of 120hp and 6,500kg in weight, the standard machine has a recommended retail price of £46,993.
