Adding to its range of trailed sprayers, Knight Farm Machinery has announced an entry level version of its TrailBlazer.
The new model features a 3,600 litre spray tank and 24 metre boom, fitted with single nozzle bodies on a stainless steel spray line. Included in the standard specification are a chemical induction hopper, clean water tank, hand wash and PPE locker.
Control of the main sprayer functions including boom hydraulics, automatic steering axle and application rate control is done through a Muller Smart 430 terminal.
Also featured on the entry-level machine is air suspension with automatic ride height control and automatic hillside correction via its steering axle. The company says this is to aid ride comfort, while maintaining even boom height and tracking to the tractor’s wheels across all slopes.
The spray pack features the manufacturer’s Maximiser low volume plumbing system, with pressurised circulation which primes the spray line prior to spraying and purges it with clean water afterwards. The firm says this system reduces the volume of liquid in the pipework, aiding effective and complete cleaning with any spray solution remaining at the end of work being simple to dispose of on the crop. The pump as standard is a six-cylinder diaphragm type.
On farm starting price for the new model is expected to be about £51,000.
