Increased flexibility from latest Teagle Tomahawk

In response to demand for a more flexible machine which can process a wider range of materials, Teagle has upgraded its popular Tomahawk 8550 dual chop feeding/bedding machine.

Able to process long and short straw and silage, the new Tomahawk Chief 8555 has undergone a series of updates to boost performance and also widen its applications, says the manufacturer.

It incorporates a new design of removable screen (pictured below), allowing it to process straw with a high level of precision and consistency, it says. Via an integral scissor action chopping mechanism, it enables the machine to produce animal feed and cubicle bedding, shred straw for loose housing requirements and feed clamp and round bale silage.

The surface area of the new removable screen has been increased by 20 per cent from its predecessor.  There is also an option of various screen sizes to accommodate customer needs.

To meet increased work demands, the 8555 also incorporates an electronically controlled, automatic chain lubrication system (pictured below) for the cross-beater as standard. List price for the new machine is £27,105.
