Borger has released a compact 25cu.m per hour separator, complementing its existing range launched in 2016, suitable for dairy farms with herds of up to 150 and for small-scale biogas sites.
The manufacturer says the new Bioselect RC 25 separator reduces storage volume and creates a more homogenous slurry to use as fertiliser, while the extracted solids can be spread or used as bedding material.
The separator can be installed as a permanent fixture or used as a mobile unit, achieving dry solid content up to 38 per cent.
A new feature enables the user to adjust the length of the de-watering chamber to their specific requirements for greater separation efficiency.
To ensure separating efficiency and long service life, the manufacturer provides plug and play units which include separator, its own rotary lobe pump and control unit. The latter is able to synchronise the operation of the components.
Using a modular principle, the manufacturer has also developed a new frame concept for its separators, which can be customised to the amount of space available at the customers’ premises. For the new Bioselect RC 25, the frame can be equipped with a three-point-hitch frame, allowing a tractor to transport it.
